Mel Bochner is an American conceptual artist and one of the pioneers of post-minimalism in the 1960s and 1970s. This movement sought to move away from the sleek minimalism of the time and towards more experimental, process-based art. Bochner's work explores the intersection of art, language and perception, sparking dialogues on meaning and communication. Vibrant colour and shapes play a key part in the artist's portfolio as he experiments with various mediums, from painting and drawing, to sculpture and installation.
